1. Service Description

EasyAccessPDF provides automated PDF accessibility tagging and compliance verification. The service generates tagged PDFs compliant with PDF/UA (ISO 14289) and mapped to WCAG 2.2, Section 508, ADA Title II & III, and EN 301 549 (EAA), validated with veraPDF.

2. Accounts and API Keys

Some features (credit packs, API access, the Chrome extension) require an account. You are responsible for keeping your credentials and API key confidential. Actions taken with your API key are attributed to your account.

3. Prices and Payment

Prices are displayed in USD and include applicable taxes unless stated otherwise. Processing fees are charged per document, not per page. Payment is currently accepted via SEPA bank transfer; card payments via Stripe and PayPal will be added. Documents are processed after payment is received or a credit is deducted.

4. Credits

Purchased credits never expire. One credit entitles you to process one document (up to 200 pages). Credits are non-refundable once used, and non-transferable except within your own team or organization.

5. Right of Withdrawal for Consumers (EU)

If you are a consumer within the meaning of § 13 BGB (German Civil Code), you generally have a statutory right of withdrawal of 14 days for distance contracts.

Expiry of the right of withdrawal: the service constitutes digital content and services supplied immediately. If you expressly request that we begin processing before the withdrawal period ends, and you acknowledge that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal, the right expires once the service has been fully performed (§ 356(5) BGB). For credit purchases, the right of withdrawal expires pro rata for credits already used.

To exercise a valid withdrawal before performance, contact [email protected] with a clear statement. We will refund payments received without undue delay and at the latest within 14 days, using the same payment method.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree not to upload content that is illegal, infringes intellectual property rights, or contains malware. You retain all ownership rights to documents you upload. We claim no rights over your content beyond what is necessary to perform the service.

7. Compliance Outcome

EasyAccessPDF provides automated accessibility tagging validated with veraPDF, an industry-standard PDF/UA validator. Automated tagging resolves machine-testable criteria; certain criteria (such as alternative-text quality) require human judgment. Ultimate compliance responsibility rests with the document owner. We recommend manual verification for legally binding documents.

8. Availability

We strive for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted service. We may modify or discontinue features with reasonable notice. Planned maintenance will be announced on the website where feasible.

9. Liability

We are liable without limitation for intent and gross negligence, and for injury to life, body, or health. For slight negligence, we are liable only for breach of essential contractual obligations, limited to the foreseeable damage typical for this type of contract. Liability under the German Product Liability Act remains unaffected.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may amend these terms with effect for the future. Registered users will be notified by email at least four weeks before changes take effect. If you do not object within four weeks of notification, the changes are deemed accepted. We will specifically point out this consequence in the notification.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These terms are governed by German law, excluding the UN Convention on Contracts for the International Sale of Goods. If you are a consumer, this choice of law applies only insofar as it does not deprive you of the protection of mandatory provisions of the law of your habitual residence. For merchants, the place of jurisdiction is Frankfurt am Main, Germany.
