The honest part
Print to PDF captures what the print layout looks like — which is usually what you want, but know the catches:
- Web pages get messy. Printing a webpage includes headers, sidebars, and whatever the print stylesheet decides. Use the browser’s “Print to PDF” feature (same dialog) and check the preview before saving.
- It’s a snapshot, not a conversion. Text in the PDF is real text (searchable!), but any interactive elements — video, forms, links — become static. That’s the point of PDF, and it’s also the limit.
- Colors shift. Some apps print backgrounds as white unless you tick “background graphics” in the print settings.
